Includes local notes and queries from the Birmingham Journal in 1871, correspondence by Britton relating to research by Britton on the history of cricket matches in the 18th century. The file also contains a copy of a pocket cricket diad recording county results from 1920, a copy of the Sporting Magazine in 1835 which contained articles on horse racing in Brighton and Chiddingfold, letter from Pelham Warner sent to Sir Alexander [Hore-Ruthven?] discussing the Bodyline tour, the decision to outlaw leg theory bowling, criticism of Douglas Jardine and Bodyline bowling from Jardine's teammates on the tour, team selection for the MCC tour of India in 1933-1934.
