Scored 829 runs (Average 25.90) Took 65 wickets for 931 (Average 14.33). Achieved double (1,000 runs and 100 wickets) 1928-32-33. A record for Derbyshire professional. 1933; scored 2,268 runs and took 100 wickets. Best bowling performance: 12 for 55 v. Northampton, 1931. (This included hat-trick). Highest score of career; 233, v. Leicester, at Loughborough, 1933."
