- Etendue et contenuPostcard depicting a black and white photographic group portrait of Somerset County Cricket Club in 1906, thirteen players and Secretary are positioned in three rows. All players are wearing cricket whites, one wears a blazer with checkered trim of the 1901-1902 England tour to Australia, one wears an I Zingari blazer, one wears a Free Foresters blazers, one wears a dark blazer with pairs of white stripes, one wears a light coloured blazer with thin black stripes, one wears a three-coloured thickly striped blazer, one wears a blazer with thick stripes and unknown crest, one wears a bazer with unknown crest, three wear plain blazers, to wear tweed jackets. Three wear staw boaters, one wears a Somerset cap with dragon crest on the front, one wears a Harlequin cap, one wears a striped cap, one wears a panama hat, three wear cravats. The Secretary wears a threepiece suit and has a cigarette in his mouth. Located on playing area with empty stand in immediate background. Message on reverse reads: "Don't you think this is a rather nice looking team? I will send your violets tomorrow. I have joined the guild & am going to be allowed to go to everything except the meeting on the Saturday. I am going to stay with the Setley's. Had a letter from miss B. this morning asking me to stay there!!! What is the world coming to?!!!" Sent to: Miss E H Wenn, Walcott House, Stalham, Norfolk. Green Edward VII half penny stamp with Ilminster postmark, 13 May 1907, 9:15 pm.
