Trading card depicting a phototyped image of a cricket match taking place at The Oval. Series No.12. Given with "Triumph".
Biography on reverse reads: "The Oval. Though it is not quite so classic a cricket centre as Lord's, the famous Oval at Kennington, in South London, yields nothing to its rival in popularity. It is the headquarters of the Surrey Cricket Club, which has produced perhaps as many great batsmen as any in the country, not excepting even Yorkshire. Vast crowds there have watched time and again with delight centuries by Bobby Abel, Tom Hayward, and Jack Hobbs, and many other cricket heroes. One Test Match is always alloted to the Oval when an Australian or South African team is in England, and sometimes the ball is hit into the crowded streets outside."
