Scope and Content
Trading card depicting a head and shoulders phototyped portrait of Jack Ryder. He is wearing a white shirt, v-neck cableknit Australian sweater with thick dark trim and two thin stripes at either end and Australian baggy green cap with coat of arms on the front. Series No.20. Given with "Champion".
Biography on reverse reads: "J. S. Ryder (Victoria and Australia) Ryder's 201 not out and 88 in his first Test v. England was a magnificent achievement; his previous best - and a very good best, too - was an aggregate of 334 runs with an average of 11.3, in three Tests v. South Africa. Ryder is this a prolific batsman. He is also a more than useful right hand bowler, slightly above medium pace, and may, therefore, be termed one of the best all-rounders among the present team."
