As part of the redecoration, Pictures were given and loaned by the MCC and the gesture was viewed by MCC as a contribution to the Festival of Britain. Subjects include painting donations from MCC to Bat and Ball Inn and The Cricketers Arms in Duncton, insurance, commissioned portrait of Pelham Warner by Katherine Lloyd, a summary of a meeting between Colonel Rait Kerr, H Altham and Mr Henty at Hambledon, repainting of Inn sign by R Ellis, clothing of the Hambledon Players and the development and sale of the Bat and Ball Inn illustrated booklet by D Rait Kerr. Also includes draft prose to be included in 'The Cricketer' describing the history of the Bat and Ball Inn and it's cricket tradition by D Rait Kerr, lists of paintings loaned to the Bat and Ball Inn and press release [19th August 1964].
