Full length portrait of former MCC Committee member
Mike’ Mitchell wearing a straw boater with I Zingari
cricket club ribbon by society artist Leslie Ward. These
watercolours were turned into chromolithographs for
publication in Vanity Fair magazine.
Mitchell captained Eton 1858 – 1861 and later, after
obtaining a degree from Oxford, was the schools cricket
master 1866 – 1897.
