Postcard depicting marking the first Ashes Test Match. The postcard features a scorecard of the match between England and Australia. To the left is a copy of the mock Ashes obituary. Below is a head portrait of Fred Spofforth with the text "F R Spofforth 'the Demon' took 14 wickets for 90 runs". Box in top right states it was played at The Oval, box in bottom right states Australia won by 7 runs. Text at base states the match was played on the 28th and 29th August 1882. Postcard No.12.
