Biography on reverse reads: "David Steele (Northamptonshire and England) Born Stoke on Trent September 29th, 1941, brother of Leicestershire player John Steele. Right hand batsman. Played for Staffordshire from 1958 to 1962. Made debut for Northamptonshire in 1963 and capped in 1965. Played in eight Test Matches during 1975 and 1976. Highest Test score is 106 v West Indies and highest first class score is 140 not out v Worcestershire."
